What is

The Disaster of Shipten is A fast paced movement driven FPS with a deep emphasis on character and stories.

Divided into two distinct gameplay phases. During the day, players explore the surreal urban city block of Shipten, building relationships with its citizens and uncovering the hidden stories.

At night, with the help of the secretive Orca Force, players enter the dreams of those they interacted with. Inside these shifting worlds, they take on fast-paced combat, parkour-style platforming challenges, secret hunting, and other gameplay encounters. Depending on what you talked about during the day, there may be changes in the level offering new challenges and secrets to find. Each dream reveals vital fragments of truth, bringing the player closer to solving a string of mysterious murders haunting the city.

2 Gameplay Sections

Day Time

The dream is the (disguised) fulfillment of a (suppressed or repressed) wish. Dreams are not meaningless, they are not absurd; they are wish-fulfillments. They deal with things which we would prefer not to think about directly, which have been repressed from the waking life, and so they find expression in strange disguises.
